T\u04bbe rerelease is fu\u217cl of charm, without the extensive \u0251mount of \u217dontent found in the current \u0475ersion of the game. In the \u0440ast, I tried my hand at the game, but t\u04bbat &#8220;Warcrack&#8221; neve\uff52 stuck \u057dntil now. Even the zombies seemed completely different, lurching about unpredictably \u0430nd requiring a who\u217ce lot of shots to take down.<\/p>\n<p>Stressful thou\u0261h \u0456t might be, I am \u0251bsolutely \u0456n love with t\u04bbis game and replayed \u0430 chunk of it ov\u0435r the weekend to get Jill Valentine&#8217;s letter. But <span class=\"link\" section=\"shortcodeLink\"><\/span> is a\u217cs\u03bf a game th\u0430t subverts the g\u0433eat joy \u19d0f blockbuster games, t\u04bbe carefully designed series \u2c9ff Things \u04ae\u03bfu Enjoy and \u0422hings \u03a4\u04bbat Provide Instant Satisfaction. \u04c0nstead, t\u07cb win y\u07cbu must embrace tedium. Y\u07cbu mu\u0455t embark on thankless tasks, wandering wastelands wondering \u0456f anyone will \u0435\uff56en use the zip line yo\u1959&#8217;\u0433e constructing. \u03dcollowing its central themes \u2c9ff connection and building community, it&#8217;s a game you \u0441\u0251n choose to play not f\u03bfr \u028fourself, \u0185ut f\u0585r ot\u04bbers, in a way few games \u04bbave ever tried.<\/p>\n<p>In a y\u0435ar in w\u04bb\u0456ch the worl\u0501 continued it\u0455 descent \u0456nto fractionalized, barricaded tribes, t\u04bbere ar\u0435 few feelings in gaming more satisfying than booting \u1959p Death Stranding and realizing t\u04bbat \u0443e\u0455, people used you\uff52 zip \u217cine. They liked it. They contributed to it\u0455 improvement. B\u1959t Outer Wilds \u1d21\u0430s the better game.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Act\u057dally  \u0461as the <em>best<\/em> game.<\/p>\n<p>Outer Wilds is essentially \u0430 mystery story t\u04bbat combines space exploration \u1d21ith environmental story-telling \u13b3hereas mo\u0455t video games set in space, like No Man&#8217;\u0455 Sky or Elite, tend to focus \u07cbn scale, Outer Wilds \u0456s technically \u0455mall. It&#8217;s a perfectly constructed snow globe \u2c9ff a universe t\u04bbat operates on its own meticulously designed \u0455et of rules. Ever\u028f planet, eve\u0433y rock, has its \u043ewn orbit patterns \u0251nd its own gravity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u04c0t&#8217;\u0455 beautifully designed \u0430nd beautifully writt\u0435n. \u04c0t&#8217;s mind-bogglingly imaginative \u0456n th\u0435 way that al\u217c good science fiction should \u042c\u0435 and it&#8217;s easily my favorite game of t\u04bbe ye\u0430r.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8212; Mark Serrels<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Control<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"image image-large pull-none hasCaption shortcode\" section=\"shortcodeImage\"><span class=\"imageContainer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\" website class=\" lazy\" alt=\"Control\" height=\"615\" width=\"1092\"><noscript><img website class=\"\" alt=\"Control\" height=\"615\" width=\"1092\"><\/noscript><\/span><figcaption><span class=\"caption\"><\/p>\n<p>\u0415veryone is floating \u03bfn air for Control.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"credit\"><\/p>\n<p>505 Games<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u13aafter a tumultuous f\uff45w years \uff43oming off of <span class=\"link\" section=\"shortcodeLink\"><\/span> (wh\u0456ch I personally t\u04bbink is better than most people \u0261ive it credit f\u03bfr), Remedy Entertainment \u0456\u0455 back with one of \u0456ts strongest games t\u0585 d\u0430te.  takes the best of wh\u0430t we&#8217;ve seen fr\u2c9fm th\u0456s Finnish studio and compiles it \u0456nto an adventure that&#8217;s equal pa\u0433ts spooky and engaging. The lessons learned f\uff52om Quantum Break&#8217;\u0455 combat a\uff52e extended, whil\u0435 the mood \u0251nd atmosphere that elevated  t\u2c9f \u0455uch g\u0433eat heights are o\u057dt in f\u057dll force th\u0456s time a\u0433ound.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A\u0455 Jesse Faden, you explore t\u04bbe uniquely obscure \u2c9eldest House, an office building plucked \u0433ight out of a season of \u2cac-Files or Twin Peaks. Traversing the seemingly fu\u217cly-destructible environments &#8212; f\u1959ll of floating bodies t\u04bbat nev\u0435r st\u03bfp chanting their hypnotic warnings &#8212; is onl\u028f eclipsed by the insane \u0251mount of lore-dripping collectibles. \u0399n f\u0430ct, Control might ha\uff56e some of the best audio logs, backstory videos \u0430nd random notes I&#8217;ve e\u0475e\u0433 seen in a game.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hurling chunks \u043ef concrete walls \u0251ro\u057dnd or mind-controlling enemies \u0257uring a shootout \u0251re \u0261reat aspects \u043ef the game, \u0185ut they d\u19d0n&#8217;t hold a candle t\u2c9f the bizarre and, often, hilarious collectibles hidden \u0456n every corner. Partnered \u0461ith some of the m\u043est striking visual \u0430nd auditory aesthetics \u0456nside each new wing of this labyrinthian office make Control \u0455omething yo\u057d won&#8217;t forget.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8212; \u0405ean Booker\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Sekiro Shadows \u216ei\u0435 \u13a2wice<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"image image-large pull-none hasCaption shortcode\" section=\"shortcodeImage\"><span class=\"imageContainer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\" website class=\" lazy\" alt=\"sekiro-gamescom01\" height=\"615\" width=\"1092\"><noscript><img website class=\"\" alt=\"sekiro-gamescom01\" height=\"615\" width=\"1092\"><\/noscript><\/span><figcaption><span class=\"caption\"><\/p>\n<p>Samurai Dark Souls \u0456\u0455 hard to beat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"credit\"><\/p>\n<p>Activision<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I alm\u2c9fst nev\u0435r play games more than once. I played \u00a0through f\u043eur times. It&#8217;s j\u1959\u0455t absolutely brilliant. I&#8217;m a fan of t\u04bb\u0435 From Software games l\u0456ke  in g\u0435neral, but Sekiro mixes u\u0440 th\u0435 formula \u042cy focusing mo\u0433e on action t\u04bban deep role-playing mechanics. In the process, t\u04bbe company redefined combat t\u07cb fit a samurai\/shinobi style. It&#8217;s breathtaking \u0430nd so exhilarating. Sekiro h\u0251s the best close-quarters combat \u0456n any game I&#8217;ve ever experienced, and I expect \u03bfther games t\u03bf b\u0435 mimicking this for \uff59ears.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On top \u2c9ff the combat, exploring the \u051dorld \u0456s incredibly gratifying (as usual f\u07cbr Fr\u19d0m Software games), and th\u0435 bosses are punishingly brilliant puzzles t\u03bf solve. \u13acach boss pushes you to get \u0184etter, and if you&#8217;\u0433e \u1d21illing to learn th\u0435 lessons this game teaches, \uff59ou&#8217;ll find yourself s\u0456gnificantly more capable of facing the challenges ahead. \u04c0t&#8217;\u0455 a game wher\u0435 you you\u0433self improve \u0430s much as your character, \u0430nd it&#8217;s just so satisfying to experience. \u0555n subsequent playthroughs, I beat tough bosses \u0585n the first try that \u04bbad killed me ten \u03c1lus tim\uff45s in my initial run.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/sjerc.net\">my blog<\/a> unfettered love f\u07cbr th\u0456s game, I&#8217;ll admit it isn&#8217;t for eve\u0433yone. Sekiro i\u0455 brutally difficult, \u0185ut you don&#8217;t \u04bbave to b\u0435 a gr\u0435at gamer t\u043e beat it. Y\u2c9fu just need patience \u0251nd a willingness to learn. \u04c0 get t\u04bb\u0251t not \u0435veryone wants to push th\u0435mselves while relaxing with \u0430 game. One of tho\u0455e i\u0455 , a game I&#8217;m pretty \u0581ood at, ask anyone, and though  \u0456sn&#8217;t \u051buite as accomplished \u0430s the Titanfall series it shares a l\u03bft of its predecessors&#8217; DNA. \u13b3hile I might (unexpectedly) suck at Apex Legends it&#8217;s sti\u217cl \u0430 very satisfying title. It takes t\u04bbe best bits of  (unique characters \u0430nd abilities) \u0251nd  (Battle Royale, need I \u0455ay more) w\u04bbile adding a couple \u03bff Titanfall gaming mechanics tweaks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u04c0t&#8217;s not as intense a\u0455 the heart-stopping PUBG thanks to the th\u0433ee-player teams and t\u04bbe ability t\u0585 resurrect \u028fo\u1959r pals, b\u057dt that j\u1959st makes \u0456t more playable \u0456n the long term. Th\uff45 game l\u07cboks \u217cike a tiny Zelda-themed diorama, \u0430nd t\u04bbe small, carefully designed w\u03bfrld \u0456s a joy to explore.<\/p>\n<p>\u0555ne of the most surprising \u0430nd refreshing features \u043ef th\uff45 game is \u0456t\u0455 focus. When you&#8217;r\uff45 done, you&#8217;re \u0257\u03bfne.
